I love my small town world

All good things comes to an end eventually. Laying in my bed watching the snow falling slowly down, I'm feeling grateful for being able to spend my last couple of weeks in the lovely state of South Dakota. To spend that time with my family and to be able to see friends, truly blessed ! You never really truly realise how much you have missed someone or something until you're reunited. It's the little things around here that makes me happy. Like driving around on dirt roads blasting country music and laughing with friends. Or sitting down at the dinner table and having one of my siblings say the cutest prayer before we eat.

Also very thankful for getting to spend thanksgiving with my big american family. Can't remember the last time I had that much food.

This was just the first round! Everything was so good! We had mashed potatoes and gravy , turkey and stuffing, sweet potatoes and bunch of different salads, even though I wouldn't call them that !

This has definitely made it's way to my top list of places to visit during Christmas time. It's at the capitol building in Pierre. This years theme was around the world. Even my own little Finland had made it !

Getting older has taught me that it's not the things that make you happy but the moments, the memories that you'll have for the rest of your life. So grateful for all the new memories I've made these past weeks.

Back in the land of cattle

I'm officially back in the U.S ! Wohoo ! Been over a year since I was last here so I'm excited to be back ! My travels went good, even though it seemed like the longest Saturday in history cause I kept going back in time. But other than that it was all good ! Happy to be with my family again and also really pleased that the surprise for the kids turned out perfect! They had no idea I was coming and to be here and surprise them when they got home, the look on their faces, was worth it all!
There's a lot of things here that I don't have at home, like a cow and a bull walking just outside my window or 4 siblings, would not change this for the world. Now I just need to get my SIM card in the mail and I'll be good to see everyone else that I've missed so much.

Airport waiting...

Game night before bed!

Happy Father's Day to all you dads! So grateful for my dad, honestly don't know what I would do without him. He's always pushing me to be the best I can be, always there to support me and guiding me! He's my go to guy!  But he wasn't the only guy who I celebrated today. My dear bunny Bono turned 10 today ! Hard to believe he's that old already.

Dad and I earlier this summer!

It took forever to get decent pictures of this guy. He kept moving and trying to eat the serpentine. But in the end it was worth it, I mean look at that face! The cutest!

p.s. only 6 days until I leave ! Super excited !

November thoughts

New week. New month. Soon to be a new year. Can't believe there's only 2 months left of 2015. Where has the year gone? Seems like the older I get the faster the time goes, wish it would just slow down a bit. But I'm excited about that it's finally November because there's a trip coming I have been looking forward to a long time. I'm going back to USA for a couple of weeks. So excited to see everyone again, and I'm going to be there during thanksgiving! All the food awaits ! There's still a lot of things I need to do before the trip. And knowing me I'm going to leave it to the last minute, so far I don't see a change in that. Oopsie !

Not a whole lot going on this week for me. Should probably start thinking about what to bring with me to family and friends over in the states. Just feels like every time I go over there it gets harder and harder to come up with something to bring to them. Ideas are welcome !

Took these pictures a couple of weekends ago at my friends cottage. Amazed by the nature.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday !
